Garden of the Provinces These aptly named gardens commemorate the Confederation of Canada's ten provinces as well as the territories. Colonel By Statue Located in the middle of Major's Hill Park, this statue commemorates Colonel By, an engineer who was responsible for building the Rideau Canal.
